Welcome to the latest edition of our weekly newsletter. Please pass along to your friends and family and ask them to become involved! Our goal is to keep all our members up-to-date on the recent developments related to Dix Park. #1 MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT #2 LETTERS TO THE EDITOR #3 DIX PARK SUPPORTERS TO BE FEATURED NEXT MONTH #4 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED THIS FALL ================================== #1 MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT Hello All, We areentering a new phase. We are again meeting with decision makers and stakeholders toward finalizing creation of our 306-acre, world-class destination park. YOU have made a difference with your voices and yard signs. Please keep it up! It is critical to keep focus. We need to keep ourmessage current; please talk to everyone about Dix Park,especially your friends and neighbors. With the new school year beginning, now is a great time to reach out to even more people in your community. We have fall fundraising plans in the works in order to maintain our community awareness campaign. Let us know if you can help in planning our Fall fundraiser. Please email: ccullen@fwv-us.com. Our goal is to not let a week go by without a Letter to the Editor advocating for Dix Park! Keep an eye out for the Women in the Triangle article featuring some of the women behind the Dix Park movement that we expect to come out in September. Thanks again to all those who continue to work to support the creation of a 306-acre, world-class destination park! www.trianglewomenmag.com =================================== #4 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED THIS FALL This fall we are organizing community outreach projects where the Dix advocacy groups will be able tostaff booths and educate the community about our goal of creating a 306-acre destination park on the Dix Campus.
